Damen Shipyards Group was established in 1927 with a single shipyard. Today the company has grown to include 30 shipyards and related companies involved in the construction, maintenance and repair of ships.

In 1969 Damen introduced its patented standard design which enabled the company to stock work boat hulls thereby shortening delivery time frames and improving customer service to offer our  customers the most efficient levels of performance and customer support.

Damen Products include: Tugs, Workboats, Fishing Vessels and Barges, Naval Craft, Patrol Craft, Customs Vessels, Prison Vessels, Cargo Vessels, Dredgers, Mega Yachts, Fire Boats, Ferries, etc. Damen continues to be a world leader and pioneer in maritime innovations with extensive research methodology, product testing and revolutionary applications applied to the company's designs.

Damen was the selected company for the National Energy Corporation's (NEC) Trinidad and Tobago's acquisition of eleven (11) major vessels including; Point Lisas M, Errol M, Robert M, Carlton M, NEC Majestic, NEC Empress, NEC Legacy and NEC Industry. NEC Vision, NEC Pride and NEC Spirit. The company is currently in the process of delivering more vessels to the local market place.
